I take a modern approach to wedding photography, that's authentic, warm and playful. I often describe it as 'story telling' meaning I capture your wedding day as it unfolds. You will find me hovering in the background for most of the day, watching out for hugs, tears, laughter and magic spots of light. Although I’m not afraid to get stuck in and give a little direction as and when it might be needed. My goal is to be there to capture everything in the most beautiful way I can, from the big butterfly flipping moments to the tiny details. I will be documenting the things you may not realise are happening at the time to create your story.
The couple portraits are a great way to experiment and have some fun together. From kisses in the rain, silly whispers that make you crack up laughing to dancing under the golden hour glow. Don't feel comfortable in front of the camera? Or you have some insecurities you're worried about? This is all totally normal. I promise I'm nice and discourage anything that feels awkward. I will do my best to make you feel comfortable, incorporating your personalities and highlighting your best features.
In the lead up to your wedding, I work with my couples to create a timeline that allows them to make the most of the photography whilst also having the most epic enjoyable day! This includes scheduling in time to get all those beaut detail shots during the morning preparations to the important group photos of your favourite people to capturing the last of the golden hour rays with your loved one.
REAL TALK
It means the world to me to capture love stories, and it will never be something I take for granted. From your initial enquiry to delivering your galleries - I am totally invested in you both and here for support, honesty and all round cheerleader vibes (but not the annoying type).
If it sounds like we would make a good photography match for your story then please do reach out!
The about me section wouldn’t be complete without mentioning my husband Cerith who is my very talented second photographer. With a full day package, you have the option to add on a second photographer to your wedding day. This is perfect for larger weddings and those that want additional angles and candids. It means we can (quite literally) be in two places at once! Cerith also has his own amazing celebrant business. He offers thoughtful and personalised ceremonies for both weddings and funerals and describes himself as the ultimate storyteller and magic weaver (which I completely agree with!). Click the link below where you can find out more from his website.
I’m a big fan of…
confetti throwing (the more the better!)
big belly laughs
big wild bouquets
pinky hue skys
hugs with grandparents
the bridesmaid squad photos
sparklers at dusk
dodgy (yet excellent) dance moves
cocktail hour as the sun sets
relaxed non traditional weddings
