A stunning black tie wedding at De Vere Tortworth Court

Black and white tie wedding with two grooms

As a wedding photographer, I get the honour of capturing gorgeous love stories all over the country and Liam & Dave’s wedding was no exception. This was a wedding which really did shine through all day long (despite some British summer drizzle setting in!).

Liam and Dave get married at the idyllic Gloucestershire Orangery

My morning began with Liam and Dave getting ready separately in the high ceiling manor house rooms with their nearest and dearest. Being just across the hall from each other meant I had the luxury of going back and fourth to their rooms, capturing gift openings, nerves, excitement and two very dapper grooms. Liam and Dave then had a heart felt ‘first look’ in the library, before welcoming their wedding party and parents all together. It was a very special way to start the day.  The orangery at De Vere Tortworth Court, definitely has that wow factor! It is flooded with natural light, big windows and beautiful arches which made it the perfect backdrop for the ceremony. A harpist set the tone for a beautiful and emotional filled ceremony as Liam and Dave walked in together. I felt SO much joy in the room as Liam and Dave were pronounced married and their guests greeted them with so much love.  The afternoon was filled with an epic white paper confetti isle, outside drinks and family photographs. I also whisked Liam, Dave and their grooms people away for some joyful photographs together which were very fun to capture!

Little details, magical speeches and high energy dance moves

The dining room set up took my breath away; full of lush potted plants and disney table names - little details that really personalised their wedding. Liam and Dave made the most iconic entrance back into the orangery and the next few hours were filled with delicious food and my favourite part of their day, the speeches. Beautiful singing, surprises, tears, hugs and the most meaningful words - creating the most magical atmosphere. As the evening drew in, I took Liam and Dave for some relaxed couple photographs together, using the stunning grounds and backdrop of the Manor House, just before the rain came down. The evening then began with a first dance and gorgeous singing from their friend Richie which was a goosebump moment to capture.  Guests then flooded onto the dance floor, kicking off with their best dance moves!

I truly felt like a guest rather than a supplier, and was made to feel so appreciated by Liam and Dave. I felt so lucky to share a day with such lovely people….you can probably tell I loved every minute.
